I have just bought Madden 09 and already I think the game is terrible after playing a few games. The online games are just as bad and I have broken a few complaints about the game. Hopefully you will disagree or agree with me.
1. Madden's picks don't work. Call a blitz play? Your players will blitz the QB,miss and never even come close.
2. Interceptions are easier and happen more often then the NFL. Call a deep pass, I dare you. No matter how open your wide receiver is, the defensive men will catch up and automatically intercept the ball. I have had this happen to just about every team that I have played with. Maybe I am doing something wrong? Or has Madden All-Play screwed this up?
3. Tackling. Good tackles and drum roll off beat the actual tackles. Pressing z to tackle and then having to drum roll to actually tackle the player is dumb. how bout using the nunchuk to deke instead of shaking?
4. Online play. I have had too many people start up a game and then quit for a easy win. You don't even get penalized for it. Whats up with that? Why cant a user who quits early get a loss?
Overall, disappointing for Madden. I think I will stick with Madden 09 for the Xbox 360 rather then play this mess.
