Question to current Wii owners...

Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a Wii but would like to know from people who actually own it, if it is a console that would make sense for someone who will be playing it alone.
Alone, as in physically alone, but I do have internet connectivity so I can play online against others. I ask because it seems the main selling angle that Nintendo has adopted is that this is a console for the whole family, or mainly for people competing face to face.

So what do you guys think? Worth it?

I have it and I play it with friends a lot, but there are some games out there with some good single player modes. Plus wiiware and force unleashed. I'd say you should buy it.

i got a wii and you can get so many cool features it dosen't mattter whethher or not your playing wit someone or not

*Super smash bros brawl(if your into unlocking characters and other stuff like levels.)

*Resident evil umbrella chronicals.

I mean theres tons of single player games. If your looking into online multiplayer the how about these.

*Mario Kart Wii
*Mario Strikers Charged
*Docter Mario Online.

Those are alot of games. And thats not alot compared to how much different titles are on the wii. My suggestion is buy one. If you like single player games then this is the one for you becuase both playstation3 and xbox360 focus on multiplayer and there online communities. While the wii focuses on fun games overall. Both Single player and multiplayer. Plus you never know, a friend might come over and you guys could just stick in a wii game and have fun for a while.

I think the forum has spoken! I would go ahead and buy the Wii. It's a great game console to burn a couple hours here and there. I would say that a PS3 or XBox360 is a better bet if you want to spend 4+ hours a day in front of the TV, but the Wii is just awesome to have some fun, stay active, and then put it down..
