Why is it that I always choose the wrong technology?

I wanted HD DVD to win. I got the HD drive and about 8 or 8 HD DVD movies. I seem to always pick the technology that fails. Maybe i need to starting picking the one that I don't want to succeed and then maybe the one I do what to win will. Did anyone else choose the wrong format?

I almost did, I thought HD DVD would make it initially. But it became apparent that BlueRay was going to dominate. I've also noticed that TigerDirect, and other catalogs are giving away HD DVD players with HD TV's now. lol.

I figured HD DVD would win, just for the name.

To me, HD DVD sounds better than Blu Ray... Blu Ray sounds like something from an aquarium.

this is why i never invest in technology that has a competitor with a different format...unless it's video games...for some reason consoles have seemed to co-exist atleast to a certain point...Genesis-SNES....N64-PS1...PS2-Xbox-GameCube....hopefully the current-gen systems will all turn out ok because i plan on owning all of them eventually
